Greatness is a Choice
From day one to the rest of your Power career, we provide a diverse range of learning opportunities to fuel your journey in self mastery. Here are a few ways veterans and military spouses reach new heights at Power.
Individual Mentorship
Truth be told, we stole this play from the military. Our mentorship structure is set up just like fire teams, squads, and platoons. As soon as you finish initial training, you’ll be placed on a team with a team leader who themselves have a mentor, Director and VP. You’ll find the same structure of support mirrored in your local peers and your military community across the nation.
Military Expeditions
Sometimes it’s just good to be surrounded by people who understand what you’ve been through without you having to explain a thing. That’s our Military Expeditions. During these intimate and informal retreats, our veterans let down their guards and become more authentic and transparent than they are with anyone else. We also let loose by breaking a sweat, serving a worthy cause and leaving plenty of time to sit back and enjoy each other's company.
Leadership Conferences
Each year, Power gathers hundreds of our best and brightest people, many of them veterans, in one city to guide their growth as leaders and individuals. We’ve featured nationally-renowned speakers such as the late Colin Powell, General Jim Mattis, and George W. Bush, sourced content from influential books such as Good to Great, Extreme Ownership, and Call Sign Chaos, and provided our people a safe space to share their voice.
Diversity & Inclusion Summits
An important part of growing as a leader is addressing our biases and expanding our perspectives. To do that, we have to better understand, respect, and support each other as human beings. In addition to our Leadership Conferences, we also host three Summits per year, each focused on an underrepresented group within our larger community. These Summits aim to foster a more inclusive, welcoming, and safe work environment for all Power people regardless of where they come from, who they love or who they pray to.
Power Academies
Just like the Marine Corps, Power hires for attitude, in our case character, and trains for skill. No matter what role you step into, you’ll have a training plan designed to set you up for success. But that’s just the beginning. Have you had an itch to get into coding? Want to learn more about solar or become a Master Craftsmen? We provide the certification programs to get you there.
