Power Home Remodeling Earns Spot on 2023 PEOPLE Companies That Care List
Power Home Remodeling, a leading exterior home remodeler and 2017 Residential Contractor of the Year, has been honored by Great Place To Work® and PEOPLE magazine as one of the 2023 PEOPLE Companies That Care®. This marks Power’s first time on the list, coming in at #49, which honors the U.S. companies that have not only succeeded in business, but demonstrate care and concern for their communities and the environment.
“We are incredibly proud that the Power community is being recognized externally for what we see every day: 3,500 people across 19 offices putting others before themselves,” said Power’s co-CEO Asher Raphael.
Power states it was built on a mission of putting people first, which rings true more than 30 years later. According to the Great Place to Work® survey, 97% of employees feel that “people care about each other here” and 94% feel good about the ways in which Power contributes to the community. In 2023 alone, the company has gone above and beyond to support employees and communities alike, including:
Providing subsidized child care for employees and their families
Launching The Power of Giving Foundation — a program that awards grants to local nonprofits chosen by Power employees who are already volunteering their time as a way to amplify their impact
Establishing PowerAid — an employee Relief and Assistance Fund to provide financial support during unexpected life events
Collecting and donating over 360,000 in-need items to nonprofits across the country through Power’s annual holiday donation drive
“This was the year when we saw if companies meant it when they promised to put employees first,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “Caring for people isn’t a by-product or afterthought for the very best companies — it’s a core part of how they create value for their customers and communities.”
PEOPLE editor-in-chief Wendy Naugle said never before has the magazine seen the way people work shift so dramatically.
